This issue of the Telecom magazine (No.9, 2011) focuses on the topic titled “IT personnel in the company’s business: opportunities and risks”. The magazine also makes an attempt to explore the key characteristics of the current state of IT outsourcing market and features an interview with experts of the leading Ukrainian IT outsourcing providers titled “Competence at wholesale and retail”. Igor Goldenberg, Miratech Vice President on Outsourcing Services, and Alexander Maximenko, Miratech Senior Project Manager, share their opinions on the topic.
Miratech experts talk about Miratech’s services being in highest demand, including IT infrastructure support, IT competence centers, IT infrastructure virtualization and reverse engineering, as well as describe the prospects of this sector. Alexander Maximenko remarks that IT outsourcing approximates a model when IT companies will deliver all ICT services to those enterprises which have the large infrastructure and do not specialize in IT. Igor Goldenberg says that the project that Miratech runs for Kyivstar is one of the largest IT outsourcing projects in Ukraine. The cooperation with Kyivstar constantly expands within this project and the IT competence center that was created specifically for the mobile phone operator. Miratech also has several large projects on regional IT support for a number of Ukrainian banks, including PUMB, VAB Bank, OTP Bank, Swedbank and others.
